Sue-Anne travels the world every year performing, lecturing, reviewing and judging important world events in magic and is President of the only internationally affiliated organization of the magic in the Oceanic region - the Australian Institute of magic. Bio
Sue-Anne Webster was born an raised in Sydney, Australia. In the early 70's she discovered the world of magic by watching 'The David Nixon Magic Show' on TV. Influenced by the show, she learned many tricks of her own.Sue-Anne's interest in the performing arts lead to her work in television for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as an Assistant Director on the television program 'Beatbox', and on the set of 'Tusitala' at the French's Forest Film Studio. In 1988, Sue-Anne began art lessons taught by Turoa Walmsley who happened to be a magician with an interest in helping young people develop their skills in magic. Delighted, Sue-Anne took up the rare opportunity offered to her, initiating her career in magic. She began performing at nursing homes, children's parties, public shows in Town Halls and later at regular gigs in cafes and restaurants around Sydney. Sue-Anne studied drama at The Australian Playhouse Studio in Sydney from 1990 to 1992 and went on to educate herself in Advanced Film and Television and Screen Acting at The Actor's Centre in Sydney as well as Theatrical Effects and Pyrotechnics, Latin Dance, Puppetry and Mime. She has worked as an actor on many stage shows, film productions, TV commercials, a television sitcom and a music video clip. In 1997 Sue-Anne met Tim and began working as a magician with
Magic Unlimited.
Sue-Anne performed regularly in 'Cunning Stunts' at The Mystery Lounge in Melbourne, 'Dreams and Illusions' at Caper's Dinner Theatre. She is often seen doing strolling magic, performing as 'Jeannie', and starring in corporate shows where she saws Tim in half with a real chain saw. In 1999 Sue-Anne developed her award-winning 'Haunted Mansion' stage act in which she battled an unseen ghost who finally captured and made her disappear instantly while standing on top of a table. In 2001 Sue-Anne made her close-up magic debut at the prestigious FFFF Invitation-only close-up magic convention in New York. She became the first woman ever to receive the 'Most Valuable Participant' award which she shared with Tim Ellis. She premiered two shows in 2008, one for the Melbourne International Comedy Festival-"Illusionarium" with Ellis & Webster and "The Wizards of Aus" at the Melbourne Magic Festival.
